Count Olaf, what did You want to say by this message?

Xan, oh, it could be interesting from artistic standpoint

But if auther had for an object to illustrate any race theories I should say he has not full information about Russian types. Everything is more difficult and more interesting.

I agree - this information is far from being exhaustive, but it's just a short picture. It's known though, that ancient people of Rus were mostly Nordid - and quite similiar to their Northern neighbours. I will post some additional information on Russian types later.

Yeah, but You shouldn't forget we had Tatar-Mongolian yoke for more than two hundreds years. So ...

Actually the last two pictures are strange a littlebit... it seems some of people look like not quite mental healthy people... Do You know where this photos had been done? (I don't mean rigon, but social insitution, maybe...)

Tatat-mongolian invasion didn't affect that badly on racial compoition of the area. The southern part was most damaged though - that explains mongoloid traits in some modern Ukrainians types.

And I don't see anything strange in the peoples on the last pics.

Common Nordid type of modern Russians is Corded Nordid or East-Nordid - they have long scull, fair hair and sligly convex nose. This type is also can be found in Finland and Sweden ( Battle-axe type).

Yes, that's true... But one more detail - great part of Russian aristocratic kins had Turkic family names.

Moreover due to migratory processes (inside Russian area and between Russian and Ukraine area) everything had mixed. I don't know any famillies who have no Ukrainian or Byelorussian relatives. It's natural...

If it's not a secret where are You from? Have You ever been in Russia?

Oh! Nice photos Especially our Minister of Agriculture

Инга Доберман,
Цитата:

This is not even 50% true. There were bygone fashions and habits to produce fake genealogy from whatever albeit foreign nobility. And, indeed, it was much easier to cling to some unknown "Tatar prince" than to the well accounted West-European nobles. Many aristocratic family names, claimed as "Turkic" do not appear as such. For example, the great boyar house of Velyaminovs contrary to the popular opinion, descends not from "Vali-Amin", but from a personal name "Velyamin", which is a vernacular form of "Venyamin" < "Benjamin". Other names, even having a real Turkic etymology, were actually Russian names, derived from borrowed Turkic words. E.g. Russian painter Savrasov was no Tatar, although his last name was derived from a Turkic word meaning a horse color.

Are these suggestions correct?

auther=>author
later=>latter
Tatar-Mongolian=>Tatar
photos had been done=>photos were taken
mental healthy=mentally healthy
been in Russia=>been to Russia

Have u all ever met a German term Völkerwanderung? In Russian after German historians having had worked in Russia since Romanovs it was for a long time "Великое переселение народов."

If u have, then what do u think a French term German Invasion means?

Do these terms correspond to the same or different historical periods?

And the other question: What d'u think how many European languages are originated the Sanscrit language from? (e.g. new, dom, cross, sat-, etc.)

And what about Russian? Was it?

After having answered these questions we r ready to discuss their native speakers.

u = > you
r = > are
d'u => do you
You have very strange tendency towards such abridgements for the person who is intrested in linguistics.
Anyway, what it has to do with original topic?
As for the Völkerwanderung - I am not a Nazi, if you meant this, and do not practice Lebensraum or similiar ideologies.
On your second question:
Russian is Indo-European language as most of European languages. I am not a linguist and I have to mention that anthropology is not related to the languages. Terms like Slavic, Gremanic, Celtic nowadays are losing their Racial meaning - they mostly refer to linguistic terms.
