I am very sorry for all those 25.000 people, who died in Sri Lanka and other Eastern Countries after all those tsunamis and earthquakes. Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Thailand and India are very popular countries for turists all over the world. Few days ago more than 25.000 people died there, they were killed mostly by tsunamis. I am very sorry for all those familys, who lost their loved ones, and I hope that the situation will stabilise as fast, as it's possible.

I heard that after those 50 latest earthquakes in South-Eastern Asia some changes had been made to a relief of an ocean, and its tectonic structure; that the Earth diameter had been decreased - it began to move faster, and that some islands had disappeared, and, finally that Sumatra Is. had been moved 30m from its previous position. Are all these news true? I mean, if it's all true, some great changes in global climate would appear soon.

The hurricanes in Northern Europe and Baltic Sea are caused by the shift of plates in the region of Sumatra while an earthquake. The tsunamis in the South-Eastern Asia are only a beginning, as it was correctly told by English Environment Minister. Now the climate will be changing gradually. We must protect the environment in our countries, for if such catastrophies repeat several times more, the earth axis will move aside, and this may cause the shift of Earth's orbit. It is a dangerous situation, gentlemen. I cannot say that we are lost, but it is a known fact that many things are changing on our planet today.

And the factories, that use poisened ingridiendces in their work should be closed.

My suggestions:
We must stop polluting air, water and ground. This is the reason of almost all environment catastrophies in the world. The Earth will soon run out of oil, so we must find the new ways of warming our homes, fuelling our cars, etc. I suggest the decomposition of water into oxygen and hydrogen. Hydrogen itself burns very good, and oxygen helps it. We may use hydrogen in our machines. It does not pollute the atmosphere, does not leave any waste, and it is self-reducting. the hydrogen will never come to an end, for my opinion this is the best way of saving our planet from all those toxic fumes that are being produced by all the factories, especially chemical ones.

Yes, the tsunami in Indonesia, Thailand and Sri Lanka were absolutely terrible....and unpredictable.....even if there was an early warning system was in place, like there is in the Pacific (mostly financed by the States to protect the west coast), it is unlikely, due to the earth quake being so close to land, it would have saved that much lives. Yes, it may have saved a few lives further afield....possible, but as you have mentioned, Governments in these countries didn't see it as a worthwhile venture. As for climate change causing it.....I doubt this. Climate change is causing problems in many parts of the world....and it is predicated it will get worse. Even if every country adhered to the Kyoto Accord, it would probably take between 50 - 100 years before the Earth would be cleansed off mans affect on it. The biggest polluter is the USA (5% of the worlds population), producing something like 26% of all global pollution.....unless the States is pulled, or forced, into the Kyoto Accord, the future regarding resolving this problem looks bleak. India and China, fast growing economies and potentially greater polluters, will have to sign up as well........ lets hope they put, unlike the States, the environment ahead of commercial greed?
