Fond.. sur les cendres des entit..s "Atherakia" et "Arkann Nakrath" (2003 - 2004), le projet DunkelNacht voit le jour fin de l'ann..e 2004. Heimdall ..tant le seul membre du groupe, dirige son expression musicale vers une musique ambient/heavenly principalement jou..e au piano, m..lant melodies simples et intimistes ("The old recordings" / "Das Leiden f..r die Ewigkeit" en 2005).
Durant le mois d’Avril 2005, Heimdall est rejoint par Nygh Gaunt (ami de longue date) au sein du projet et amorcent ensemble "l'..re" Black Metal du groupe, car il n'en aurait pas pu ..tre autrement...
S'en suivent une maigre participation .. la compilation "Black hearts in the north" en format cassette chez Masochrist Productions avec le titre "Ma souffrance", puis un split UG avec le one-man-band Grim Forest, enregistr.. .. la hâte et surtout avec peu de mat..riel...
DunkelNacht trouve en ..t.. 2005, en la personne de Beow..lf, le guitariste rythmique du groupe. Les r..p..titions commencent et s'intensifient au cours de l'ann..e 2006. Heimdall continue en parall..le les compositions ambient/orchestral, une sorte de projet hors-s..rie interne au groupe et sort apr..s un an et demi de travail l'opus "Gjennom Tidene Til D..de Guder" en Septembre 2006.
Plusieurs titres d'un Black Metal rapide sont compos..es fin 2006 ; afin de servir un discours radical et r..solument ath..e.
Enfin, Ronan (fondateur d’Harshness) rejoint le groupe .. la basse pour la session d'enregistrement avec le groupe de Death/Thrash Old School lillois Mass Grave, split qui sortira prochainement.

Born from the ashes of the entities "Atherakia" and "Arkann Nakrath" (2003-2004), Dunkelnacht project appears fall 2004. Has Heimdall was the only band member, he directed his musical expression into an ambient/heavenly music played with Piano, melting simples and intimists melodies ("The Old Recordings" / "Das Leiden F..r Die Ewigkeit" in 2005).
During April 2005, Heimdall and Nygh Gaunt (an old friend of his) join forces in this project and build together its black metal "Era", it couldn't have been differently...
Then comes a little participation in the compilation "Black Hearts In The North" on tape at Masochrist Productions under the title "Ma Souffrance", and an UG split with the one-man-band "Grim Forest", recorded in haste and especially with few material...
Dunkelnacht meets during summer 2005, in Beow..lf, the rythm guitar of the band. Rehearsals starts and intensify in 2006.
Heimdall continues in parallel his ambient/orchestral compositions, kind of a side-project inside the band, and, after one year and half work their "Gjennom Tidene Til D..de Guder" opus in september 2006. In order to support more radicals and atheists lyrics, some speeder Black Metal tracks are written.
A few month ago, Ronan (founder of "Harshness") joins the band on bass guitar for the split CD recording session with the Death/Thrash Old School metal band, Mass Grave (Lille). It will soon be available !
